Presentation Graphics and Slide Design

Optivity Now, a customer service technology company approached me about some design support for an upcoming presentation. After an initial call, they explained that they already had some content, and had an example of a previous deck that was created to work from for reference. They also had some visual identity already looking at their website.

It was important that the presentation flowed well and not have too much information included on any one slide. Due to the time constraint of their presentation slot, it was important that I created simple, but engaging visuals to accompany the messaging. I also had to consider a way to create new imagery that would align with their current brand.

Scope

  • Existing branding and previous slide deck
  • Imagery needed to be created alongside some of the content
  • Presentation was only a 15 minute slot.

Creation of dynamic technology-focused imagery

Looking at Optivity Now’s current brand, they had quite a prominence in the tech industry, and their visuals really reflected that, with the use of data imagery and direct messaging.

I looked at how I could keep certain elements of their visuals (such as the data backgrounds), but also bring in certain elements to enhance the presentation. The cover was inspired by futuristic technology and featured a customer service aspect, to make the imagery relevant to their industry.

There were some image suggestions in a few of the slides. I experimented to create an engaging piece on the page, rather than some stock imagery. As the imagery were created from scratch, it would allow them flexibility to adapt them in the future for different uses.

Emily the CEO was really open to my creative suggestions, and had a great understanding of the importance of imagery and reflecting the brand. For more on Optivity Now, check them out at optivitynow.com.

Outcomes

  • Technology-focused front and back cover
  • Creation of subtle backgrounds using existing imagery from their website, that worked on both large headline pages, and pages with more main content
  • Creation of bespoke illustrations for some of the pages.
